Kinetics adsorption of Amoxicillin from aqueous solution by Graphen Oxide- Gold nanoparticles (GO-AuNPs) nanocomposite as novel adsorbent
Authors
Abstract:
In this research, Graphene Oxide- Gold nanoparticles (AuNP/GO) were easily fabricated by a redox reaction between GO and chloroauric acid without using any additional reductant and then used to stabilize Pickering emulsions. (AuNP/GO) was investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy. The changes of parameters such as contact time, pH, Amoxicillin initial concentration and temperature were tested and investigated by several adsorption experiments various factors affecting the uptake behavior such as initial concentration, contact time and temperature were studied. The adsorption kinetics well described by a pseudo-second-order rate model. full textA Novel Nanocomposite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Rapid Adsorption of Ni(II) from Aqueous Solution
A sulfhydryl-lignocellulose/montmorillonite (SLT) nanocomposite was prepared using a chemical intercalation reaction. The SLT nanocomposite was characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), the results demonstrated that an intercalated-exfoliated nanostructure was formed i...
full textStudy of the adsorption of methyl orange from aqueous solution using nickel oxide nanoparticles: Equilibrium and Kinetics Studies
Methyl orange is one dye resulted from the textile industry. The aim of this study is to test theadsorption capacity of nickel oxide nanoparticles for removing the methyl orange from aqueoussolution. The parameters studied were the effect of temperature, contact time and initial pH ofsolution. Results indicate that the removal efficiency of nickel oxide nanoparticles increases withincreasing co...
full textAdsorption of Copper from Aqueous Solution Using Low- Cost Adsorbent
In this study activated carbon prepared from Adathoda vasica stem was used as adsorbent to remove Cu from an industrial waste water. For this purpose, high grade CuSO4.5H2O was used as heavy metal sample. Laboratory experimental investigation was carried out to identify the effect of pH (1.50 – 5.5), agitation time (30-240 min) varying temperature (30-50 ̊C) and varying biomass quantities (2,4,6...
full textPhotocatalytic process using magnesium oxide nanoparticles for amoxicillin removal from aqueous solution
Background & Aim: Excessive consumption of antibiotics and their incomplete metabolization in human and animals, as well as inadequate removal by conventional waste water system leads to the release of these chemicals into the environment. Antibiotics have adverse effects including bacterial resistance, digestive disorders and genotoxic. Therefore the aim of this study was to survey amoxicillin...
